Vision
Healthy eyes and clear vision are an important part of your overall health and quality of life. Vision coverage is provided by VSP nationwide. You may enroll yourself and your eligible dependents or you may waive vision coverage. You do not have to be enrolled in medical coverage to elect vision coverage, or cover the same dependents under medical and vision.
Plan participants are able to visit any eye doctor, however savings will be maximized by visiting an in-network eye doctor. You can find a local list of in-network eye doctors by visiting vsp.com or by calling VSP at 800-877-7195.
An ID card is not required for you to receive services. At your appointment, tell the provider you have VSP and work for EnerSys, or print a member vision card from the Member Details section of the VSP website.

Additional Savings and Programs
Lightcare
Use your frame and lens benefit to get nonprescription eyewear from a VSP in-network provider. You can apply your frame allowance toward either non-prescription blue light filtering glasses or sunglasses, in place of your frame and lens allowance.
Diabetic Eyecare Plus Program
Services related to diabetic eye disease, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), plus retinal screening for eligible members with diabetes. $20 copay, as needed. Limitations and coordination with medical coverage may apply.
Additional Savings
- Glasses and sunglasses: an extra $20 to spend on featured frame brands, plus 20% savings on additional glasses and sunglasses, including lens enhancements, from any VSP provider within 12 months of your last WellVision Exam.
- Retinal screening: no more than a $39 copay on routine retinal screening as an enhancement to a WellVision Exam.
Laser VisionCare
The VSP Laser VisionCare Program provides discounts through VSP-contracted laser facilities, averaging 15–20% off or 5% off a promotional offer for laser vision surgery including PRK, LASIK and Custom LASIK. You receive a complimentary screening to determine if you are a candidate, a pre-operative eye exam to measure the degree of vision correction needed, and post-operative exams to ensure your eyes heal properly during recovery.
